Kelli is Student of the Month!

Kelli earned the Student of the Month award for the month of January. She was introduced at the monthly school board meeting and received a medal.

Ice Hiking

Kent, Kelli and Nathanael went ice hiking at Matthiesen State Park. They said that they could hear water running behind the waterfalls.

100 Day Challenge

Last Sunday, Savannah's Primary teachers challenged the children to read the Book of Mormon for 100 days in a row for a minimum of 5 minutes each day. They gave each of the children a scripture tote bag, a Book of Mormon and a paper to track their progress. Savannah and I have been working on it right after school each day. For a kindergartner, she is an amazing reader. I am so impressed with her ability to read and remember new, big words. We invite all of you to join us in this 100 day challenge. Utah's 31-17 win over Alabama at the Sugar Bowl! Sweet as Sugar!

We have really enjoyed the University of Utah football team's very successfull season!!! The Sugar Bowl was a great way to cap Utah's undefeated season. We enjoyed listening to the Utah vs. Alabama game on the internet. There are a few times a year that we wish we had cable or satelite and this was one of them. It would have been a fun game to watch. This is how the game looked on our end.

Visit with Santa

Santa and Mrs. Claus visit children at a little house at the downtown park. We enjoyed taking Savannah to see Santa. She told him that she wanted a Spider costume. That was the first time I had heard her request. I have no idea why she wants a spider costume.

Kelli is 14!!!!!!!

We had a good time celebrating Kelli's 14th birthday! A few days before her birthday, she had some friends over to make cookies to take to friends. Now she gets to go to the church dances!!!! It seems that all of the sudden she looks very grown up!
