Kasey was selected to participate in the North Central Illinois Conference (NCIC) district band. The band directors of the participating schools select the students who were invited and which chair the students would sit. Kasey was select to sit 1st chair which gave her the opportunity to play several solo parts. The band was led by a guest conductor, rehearsed for an afternoon and presented an evening concert. Kasey was excited to be selected and enjoyed the
experience.
